Randy Cowart spent the better part of his professional career running a thriving, successful business with global operations. For the most part, life consisted of board room meetings, long flights and time away from his family.

Fast forward more than 20 years and it's all paid off. Now, Randy is spending less time in the office and more time on the water with his family - thanks to their recent purchase from Barrier Island Marine.

A Kiawah Island resident, Randy started thinking about purchasing a boat a few years back. At the top of his 'features' list he wanted the best quality and safety. This narrowed his choices and eventually led him to the team at Barrier Island Marine.

"Buying a boat was a big deal to me," explains Randy. "I wasn't going to make my decision with just any company."

"From the moment that I met Chip and Scott, I was certain they knew exactly what they were doing. I've spent my career demonstrating value and earning the respect of my clients. I understand what it takes to build a strong reputation. Barrier Island Marine operates under the same principles and for that reason - they earned my business."

Chip Shealy, Barrier Island Marine's top sales rep, worked closely with the Cowart family to determine which boat would meet their needs and provide them with the best experience on the water. Their selection was a beautiful, center-console, 24-foot Regulator.

With their choice made, Randy and his son, Brandy, expressed an interest in wanting to see their boat being built. In true Barrier Island Marine style, Scott and his team connected the Cowart family with the manufacturer of Regulators. Just like Barrier Island Marine, Regulator is know for their "no compromise" philosophy and customer service so it is no surprise that the family-run business opened their doors and manufacturing plant to Randy and invited the Cowarts to view their North Carolina operation.

Brandy, vice president of the Cowart family business, echoes his dad's portrayal of purchasing their boat.

"Watching our boat being built was something that I'll never forget. It was a super experience and a testament to the personalized service you get when dealing with Barrier Island. Our family not only considers Barrier Island Marine our boating partners - we consider them family friends."
